The Train Your Staff to Write Grants Course!

The Train Your Staff to Write Grants Course

An ten-module evidence-based e-learning course, focusing on the seven questions that all grant applications require.

We will  walk you through the process of developing the same tool we have used  since 2008 to raise over 15 million dollars of private funds! Our course will help you:

  1. Identy the questions funders always ask

  2. Develop the best responses to those questions

  3. Evaluate the content to ensure it addresses the funders requirements

  4. Document, activate and deploy the data you collected to create high quality fundraising documents in much less time

The Problem

The problem is the lack of staff and resources to hire and retain quality grant wriing staff. There is money available from foundations, corporations and major individual donors, but if  you do not apply you will not recieve those funds. The fundraising market is highly competitive so you must present your program documentations is a highly effectiveness and impactful way.

The Solution

Second Shift Productions has created a simple system containing customized tools and aids to help manage the documenation challenge that prevents most organizations from applying for funding.

The documentation process is: identifying collecting, sorting, storeing and updating the critical data needed to respond to funding opportunties therefore making the best-case for funding. At the end our process, you will have a staff person who is capable and ready to produce high quality fundraising documents for you--grants applications that get results!

Expected outcomes  utilizing this process:

  • The average grant size in Illinois is $20,000

  • Funder normally only approve 10% of the grant applications they recieve

  • 10 proposal per month will result in 120 grant applications per year

  • 10% approval rate of submitted proposals will yield 12 awards annually of $20,000 each

  • 12 x  $20,000 (average grant size) will produce $240,000 of new revenue each year.

The Results:

Improved capacity to!

  • Raise $240,000 of new revenue from foundations and major donors in one year
  • Complete a grant application 100% faster!
  • Increase the number of funding soliciation documents you can produce: grant applications, letter of inquiries and case statements
  • Decease the time required to complete these documents
  • Increase the percentage of actuals awards versus submitions
  • Increase the particpation of boards and volunteers in the fund solicitation process
